Who can publish for us?
Our publications are open to those who wish to contribute in line with the vision and mission of CRSE.
However, authors should note that already published work will not be considered and will be rejected without
any review.
We Publish:

CRSE Opinion Articles: Short articles by subject experts giving insights on a
particular topic.
Word limit: 1000 to 1200 words

CRSE Book Reviews: There is no time limit on the books to be covered for the acceptance
of book reviews. The only criterion is relevance.
Word limit: 800 to 1200 words

CRSE Issue Briefs: The Issue Briefs should provide a concise, focused analysis of a
specific issue or development, highlighting key facts, challenges, and considerations.
Word limit: Not more than 1500 words (without references)

CRSE Policy Papers: The policy papers should offer a more in-depth analysis of a policy
issue and include detailed recommendations or proposed solutions.
Word limit: 2500 to 5000 words (without references)

CRSE Long Reads: In-depth and extended pieces of writing providing comprehensive
coverage of a subject.
Word limit: 2000 to 5000 words
Style of Referencing:
Harvard style guide of referencing ( 10th
edition of Cite Them Right ) is to be used
according to the
publication type. Detailed instructions are as follows:
- CRSE Opinion Articles: Hyperlinks embedded in the text.
- CRSE Book Reviews: No need for referencing apart from citing
the page number in a bracket when quoting a particular phrase or sentence from the book.
- CRSE Issue Briefs: In-text citations to be used with detailed
references added at the end.
- CRSE Policy Papers: In-text citations to be used with detailed
references added at the end.
- CRSE Long Reads: Hyperlinks embedded in the text.
Research Ethics:
- At CRSE, we value originality, objectivity and impartiality as much as possible
in the writings of the
authors.
- Plagiarism is an offence and will not be tolerated. Plagiarised works will be
rejected without any
review.
- Proper citations are a must as the authors whose ideas have been used in the
writings deserve due
credit.
- Authors will be hold accountable for the arguments they make in their works
which are published by CRSE.
Submission Guidelines:
- Submissions are to be made to the CRSE offical submission email address: submissions@crseonline.org .
- The write-up should use font size 12, font style Times New Roman, and
line-spacing of 1.5.
- Kindly make it clear under which topic (you can browse through our topics on
crseonline.org ) you
intend to submit
your write-up on since many write-ups can come under different
topics at the same time.
- For Issue Briefs, Policy Papers and Long Reads, please submit an abstract of
around 100 words along with the write-up.
- Kindly submit only those write-ups which are not under review elsewhere.
- You will be communicated about the decision on your write-up within 7 days of
your submission after which you can submit it elsewhere.
- Please mention your name, email address and institutional affiliation in the
submission. If you are comfortable, you can also attach a passport size photo of yours in the submission
email.
